when your matter goes black, rejoice is a kinetic-audiovisual meditation on decomposition, fragility, and rebirth. An exploration of the boundary between decay and endurance through discarded matter, handmade machines, and DIY electronics.

This work is part of a lifelong meditation on material instability, precarious systems, and the expressive possibilities of the imperfect, the failed, and the unstable. Through discarded matter, handmade machines, and DIY electronics, Guerrero explores decomposition, fragility, and rebirth, focusing on the vital boundary between decay and endurance. Kinetic mechanisms, sound, light, and image bring these elements into a continuously changing audiovisual environment. The residency will culminate in a performance-installation in which audiences encounter a fragile ecosystem of moving objects, resonances, textures, and light. Rather than presenting a fixed composition, the work unfolds through transformation, contingency, and the possibility of new forms emerging through intuition and decay.
